CBSA Official Designated Billiard Cloth

HISTORY

CPBA stands for Chinese Professional Billiard Association. In 1998, the CPBA needed a type of table cloth specifically designed for professional billiard competitions and training.

This table cloth had to meet the requirements for stability, speed, english shot performance, and durability. The ball sliding and rolling on the table cloth should be in proportion of the golden ratio. And this table cloth must be approved by pro players worldwide.

There were only a few European companies around the globe able to meet the standard back at that time.

In 2004, we eventually developed such high quality table cloth and promoted this masterpiece in the market as CPBA.

Manufacturing Process

Wool dyeing and piece dyeing are two popular methods implemented in the dyeing process.

For wool dyeing, wool is dyed first and then goes through a three-step procedure: spinning, weaving, and finishing.

For piece dyeing, the raw material will go through spinning, weaving, dyeing, and finishing for the final step.

For the process flow, the cloth will undergo several inspections after weaving and taking off the machine. Then, it will be transferred to the finishing workshop for further steps of rinsing, drying, pilling, shearing, inspecting and steaming. Lastly, the products go to the finished product inspection room. After passing all these processes, they are ready to be packed and shipped out of the factory.
